This track season has been a successful track season with alot of PRs(Personal Records).
I spoke with head coach Joseph Monda and i asked him what was the highlight of this track season he stated
“Everyone (was) working as hard as they could and actually improving. We had many new runners this year who all did great and only having few seniors this year the majority of this team will be coming back”. There were over 50% of runners who made it to district finals where the braves track season ended besides one runner , Brack Dillon a sophomore at Whetstone high school. He came in 4th place just qualifying for Regionals in the 400 meter dash.
I asked Monda what stood out to him in districts and he said “ Everyone was at their very best and overall was just impressive i’m really proud of how the season ended with everyone setting new PRs”.
This is Chris Lisi’s last year coaching track and i caught up with him to get a recap of his last season whom he coaches the girls track team and he said, “My girls ran really hard this year, I had a smaller team then previous years but everyone fought hard and this season was one of the best”.
As you can see the Braves track team had a pretty good season ending in district finals which is great because previous years both boys and girls relays couldn’t make it to Finals in districts besides the boys 4×400 team who made regionals last year and the 4×800 team. Congratulations to the braves track team and they will be having their banquet May 28th in the cafeteria .
Good luck to Brack Dillon in regionals on Wednesday May 22nd @PickeringtonHighschoolNorth.
