It’s a bittersweet time of year in high schools all across the USA and Whetstone is no exception. While we celebrate the success of our seniors, we will also miss them greatly. In this final episode we send the seniors off with style, listen to their words of wisdom and have a little fun pranking them with some hand soap and a challenge to “stay clean!” Keep it classy, Whetstone!

Whetstone’s track team’s season is coming to an end. The team competed in cities last week and will be competing in districts this week.
The girls’ team places third at cities where Jamie Bossenbroek became the city champion in the 300 hurdles, and Bryn VanDommelen became a city champion in the 3200 meter run. The boys’ team also did well at cities, placing fourth.
“The city meet was more of a success than I thought it would be. Everyone ran their hardest and a lot of people had personal records,” said Whetstone sophomore Ephrayim Robinson.
The track team will be competing in the district field events Tuesday May 16th and the running events Wednesday May 17th at Hilliard Darby High School.
“The district meet is a chance to prove to everyone how hard you worked all season,” said Whetstone junior Evenson Desir.
The team is feeling very confident about districts.
“I believe that a bunch of us from the Whetstone track team can advance to regionals and beyond,” Robinson added.
