Columbus school got a new levy

Columbus city schools got the new levy so they have more funding for our schools. They haven’t got a levy passed in three years the levy passed 62 to 38.

None of the money will go to charter schools the 2013 plan was largely crafted by the

mayor. He recommended to share property taxes with the schools for the first time they

Are hiring 325 new people. They said it might not close this school for a little longer

because they have the funding for more things like more staff. It was provided for preschools but  

did not bring nearly enough money for example. The money was shared with high

performing schools. The current 96 nurses will grow by 16 the would be 17 new

assistances there are 27 special education buildings they will add 17 more they would add

English as a second language they will add 17 more locations they are trying to fix the roofs on the buildings fix the heating and add security systems new fire alarm
