At Whetstone High School, we celebrate differences and accept one another. As a way to show our acceptance and celebration, Whetstone has dedicated a week to recognize LGBTQ+ students, and the general LGBTQ+ community.
During the course of this week, all aspects of the LGBTQ+ community were recognized, including lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and more. This week, students dressed in neon to celebrate the visibility of the LGBTQ+ community, wore pink and purple to support lesser known identities, wore blue and white to support transgender members of our community. Students also had fun with the week by including a hat day and a day to wear something you wouldn’t normally wear. Continue reading “Love is Love Week”
