When a break-up devastates your world, you might think twice about getting back together.
Some people see the words, “It’s over” as final. But others see it differently.
“When he said it was over, my heart just stopped. I couldn’t believe it,” sophomore, *Destiny said.
“It was like I was a computer and what he was saying just wasn’t getting through to me,” she added. Destiny’s shock is not uncommon.
Everyone who has had their heart broken with those two words can relate. They understand the surprise, shock, and pain, because they have felt it before.
But how do you make-up? “First I had to get over him,” Destiny said. “And then when he asked me for a second chance,” she continued, “I had to think back. I had to sort out the good things from the bad ones,” she finished. “He is a humorous person,” she said. “But sometimes he could be rude,” she continued.
Destiny had to make a huge decision. “I wouldn’t be able to go on if he broke my heart again. I would just be done,” she said.
“I decided to give him a second chance,” Destiny said. “I honestly couldn’t imagine not giving him one,” she continued.
“When you love someone, and I mean really love them, nothing else matters,” she said. “His annoying little habits, I like them. His flaws, I love them because they are all a part of him,” she finished.
Breaking up is hard to do. But getting back together, relearning the person that you have fallen in love with is easy. It might start out slow, but things will get better.
